SHRINERS HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN

CHALLENGE

The lifeblood of Shriners Hospitals for Children is fundraising inspired by compelling, beautifully produced videos. This includes long form videos for large-scale fundraising conventions, along with 30 and 60 second television commercials. The success of these videos is critical to the financial success of the organization. That’s why, for 7 consecutive years, Shriner’s has chosen Ren Scott Creative for the job.

RESULTS

It’s difficult to quantify results with a client like Shriners Hospitals for Children. The work we provided was part of a much larger fundraising machine, and since we didn’t handle all elements including website marketing or media buying for the TV commercials it’s hard to put a number on just the work we did. Suffice it to say that all our work received rave reviews, and year after year Shriners Hospitals for Children chose Ren Scott Creative to be it’s video partner.

APPROACH

Creating videos that strike an emotional chord and inspire people to give, it’s an art from where RSC excels. It comes down to storytelling; knowing how to listen to and interview a subject to illicit the deepest emotions, and then understanding that story deeply enough to shape it into a powerful script. Our team traveled to dozens of cities in and out of the U.S., visited 16 different Shriners Hospitals, interviewed, dozens and dozens of patients and Shriners, and helped share the story of Shriner’s Hospitals for Children.

We produced fundraising commercials with Meredith Viera, Latin Pop star Prince Royce and Iraqi war hero Bill Smith?? We produced commercials for the annual East-West Shrine game and the promotional videos as well. Ultimately we were selected to produce the documentary to mark the 140th Anniversary of the Shriners organization, a 45-minute production that was distributed worldwide.
